Your Privacy & Trust

Are pretty important to me, so please read below

The last update on this page I made: May 27, 2026

In my corporate past, I’ve seen enough dry, cold privacy policies to last a lifetime. Here at danaelias.com, I want to do things differently. Your trust is the most precious thing I have, and I treat your personal data with the same care I give to my favourite cashmere sweater. It means with respect, gentleness, and a focus on longevity.

Who is looking after your data?
I am Dana, and my company, Eliasova Content House, is the "controller" of your information. That’s just a legal way of saying I’m the one responsible for keeping it safe.
Address of my company: Korunní 2569/108, Vinohrady, 101 00 Praha 10, Czech Republic
Email: I’m always here if you have questions.

So what I know about you
I only collect what is necessary to make your experience here beautiful:
When you join us to comment or create an account, I’ll need your email and a display name (feel free to use a nickname if it makes you more comfortable). This is the performance of the contract / legitimate interest.
When we talk: If you send me an email, I’ll keep our conversation so I can get back to you.
Concerning sending newsletters, service messages, and marketing about my products (e.g., eBook, courses) - where required, with consent; you may opt out any time (consent / legitimate interest) - same case for sending commercial offers from selected third‑party partners.
The technical stuff: Like most websites, I collect some basic anonymous data. This helps me keep the site running smoothly for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and site operations (legitimate interest/legal obligation).
Cookies: You already know about my love for real cookies. For the digital ones, see my Cookie Policy.

How I use your information
I use your data to nurture this community:
To let you leave comments and share your thoughts.
To send you my newsletter, mindset tips, or updates about my DIY projects, etc.
To share special rewards, like a promo code at the end of a course or a tip for a brand I truly believe in.
Legal stuff: Sometimes I have to process data because the law requires it or to keep the site safe from "digital moths" (fraud and security threats).

Curated Partnerships (The "No-Spam" Promise)
As I’ve mentioned before, I don’t care about trends, and I certainly don’t care for spam.
I will never sell your email address. That's it. I'm not here to do that.
If I have a partner offer that is genuinely amazing (like a discount for a slow-fashion brand or a mindful service), I will send it to you myself.
My partners do not get your email address unless you explicitly say, "Yes, Dana, I want to hear from them directly."

Sharing with my "Helpers."
I can’t do everything alone. Especially technical stuff. 🤪 So I use trusted worldwide service providers for things like website hosting, newsletter sending, and analytics. They act as my assistants and are bound by strict rules to keep your data safe, as on any other million websites worldwide. Some of these helpers might be based outside the EU (such as in the US), but I only work with those that provide top-tier data protection.

How long do I keep your information?
I’ll keep your account details for as long as you want to be part of this community. If you ever decide to leave and delete your account, I’ll say goodbye and erase or anonymize your data unless the law requires me to keep it a bit longer.

Your Rights (You are in control)
It’s your data, and you have the power:
You can ask to see what I know about you.
You can ask me to correct anything wrong.
You can ask me to delete your information or stop sending you newsletters by using "unsubscribe" in the footer of my emails.
If you’re in the EU, you also have the right to complain to a local authority, though I hope we can always settle any worries together first. All activities are voluntary, just like receiving emails. So everything is based on your free will. For me, this is essential because I made this website with good intentions.

A Note about the Little Ones
My blog is a space for adult people. I don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you’re a parent and think your child has registered on my blog, please let me know, and I’ll check, and together we will fix anything that's needed. I am also a parent, so I understand the situation. Even on my blog, I am running only safe topics. 🫶

Security
I’ve implemented technical measures, like any other, across millions of blogs and websites worldwide to protect your data from unexpected mess-ups. In the event of a breach, we will comply with applicable notification obligations.

Changes to this Policy
As my blog grows, this policy might evolve, too. I’ll always update the date at the top so you can stay informed.

Let’s keep in touch
If you have any questions about your privacy, or if something feels unclear, please don't hesitate to write to me. I’m here for you. ✌️
